After earning my first bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida, I decided to blend my love of literature with my desire to work with young people and become a teacher. I then earned a Bachelor’s in English followed by a Master’s in Secondary English Education at the University of Florida as well. I loved my years in Gainesville and will always be a loyal Gator, but I wanted to return home, here in Panama City, to begin my life as an adult. I am married with one daughter who is the joy in my life! We also have three small dogs that we adore and consider family. For twenty years now I have been teaching English, and sometimes Psychology, at both the middle school level, as well as, the high school level. Currently I teach AP Language and Composition and 11th Grade English at Mosley High School – my alma mater. I have also taught online school with Florida Virtual School and I am currently teaching as an adjunct teacher with Bay Virtual School. For me, the best part about being a teacher is having the opportunity to work with, and be a part of the lives, if only for a little while, so many interesting young people who are on the journey to discovering who they will become.
