IS THE STATE-OF-THE-ART SOLUTION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUR CHILD.

We understand. This is an important decision, and the concept of virtual school is new and may be confusing. There are so many questions going through your mind.

  • How does my child receive an education online?
  • Who are the teachers?
  • Will my high school student receive a diploma?
  • Is the curriculum challenging?
  • What is the schedule for virtual school?
  • Is an online education program a good fit for my family?

BAY VIRTUAL SCHOOL WILL HELP YOU FIND THE SOLUTION.

‘Click’ on the grade level for your child:

HOW IT WORKS

Our elementary students take courses in the core academic subjects of English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as an elective. Each program at the elementary level provides an online platform that provides planning and progress tools which can help the student keep on pace.

Teachers work closely with parents in their important role as the Learning Coach, or facilitator of the student’s progress. As an elementary Learning Coach you will oversee and review your child’s daily work, log attendance, help with course navigation, communicate with teachers, and provide support for the learning process. Students are expected to work about 5 hours per day each school day.

CHOOSING THE VIRTUAL CURRICULUM PROGRAM

Bay Virtual School will help you choose the virtual program that will best suit the learning needs of your child. That’s why we will meet with each student and parent at an enrollment meeting so that we can learn about your child as an individual learner. And for our youngest learners, we will screen your kindergarten aged child to make sure that the student is ready to start school in an online class. This is an important step in knowing if a virtual format is the best way for your child to start school. Once we know a child is ready for an online program, you have a few choices.

HOW IT WORKS

Today’s global economy requires us to prepare our high school students for college, technical, and career training. Our role at Bay Virtual School is to help our students with the wide variety of choices when planning their future path. Students that plan to enter the job market or military upon graduation need to be equipped with the required skills. Our counselors will help guide you through the process of choosing courses and diploma track options to help you navigate this path.

Many of our students envision entering college upon graduation from high school. What courses are required for college entrance? When should I take the SAT or ACT? How do I find scholarships and funding to get through college? Bay Virtual School guidance counselors will help you navigate through this process. Our courses may be virtual, but our commitment to meeting the needs of our students is hands-on.

We offer two local virtual curriculum options. Imagine Learning and FLVS. As a result, your teachers will be local Bay District School teachers. They are certified and highly-qualified to work in a virtual learning environment. Here are just a few of the benefits of working with a local virtual franchise program.
